#20-The Living Room Floor
So a couple months ago we tore up the ugly carpet in the living room, as we knew we had oak floors underneath. Well, not a pretty sight. Some fool in the past had sanded the finish off, and then just left it that way. The wood is pretty beat, and has serious stains and dirt ground into it, not to mention a couple wierd holes cut into it. Not sure if it's salvagable or not. For now we just bought a couple large area rugs. We'll get back to it after the winter is over. We have to decide if it's worth refinishing, or just carpet back over.

Well the wierd holes deffinately make me wonder if it would be a good idea for you to try to repair the floor, but it's hard to tell how bad it really is from the pictures. If it's way worse than the floor in the kitchen, then I would just carpet over it. Kinda sad to do that, but what else can ya do?
